The Netherlands won the toss and elected to field first against New Zealand in the sixth match of ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023.
Even after a sluggish start New Zealand finished with 322 on the board. Will Young and Rachin Ravindra stitched together a solid partnership as both batters brought up half-centuries and Daryl Mitchell too made a useful contribution of 48 runs.
After being 238/3 in 40 overs, they lost three wickets in the next five overs which pushed them back but skipper Tom Latham scored a fighting half-ton.
During the 17th over, Rachin Ravindra bowled a slow fuller delivery wide of off-stump to Bas de Leede. The all-rounder lofted the ball up and hit it over mid-off aiming for a boundary. However, Trent Boult, who was stationed at the long-off fence, timed his jump to perfection and pulled off a stunning catch.
Boult took the catch at first and then throws it over the ground just to buy some time as he was about to lose his balance. He hopped outside the fence and camee in before the ball hit the ground. He took the catch again and dismissed the Dutch batter.

Tom Latham again led the team in the absence of injured Williamson. Fast bowler Lockie Ferguson returned from injury to replace James Neesham in the only change to New Zealand’s XI.
Netherlands made two changes to the lineup that lost to Pakistan, with allrounder Sybrand Engelbrecht and fast bowler Ryan Klein replacing Saqib Zulfiqar and the injured Logan van Beek.
